I just pulled an old dusty Z3C out of a drawer, and for the life of me I can't remember the unlock pattern.
Tried Android Device Manager to reset password, but it says "Since Google has verified that a screen lock is already set, the password you entered won't be needed" which is super useful.
It's rooted, so I tried connecting via USB but adb is not showing devices connected.
I'd like to reset the password, or at least do a factory reset.
What can I do?
thanks
Hi @benzilrodrigues,
As far as I know the Android Device Manager has only worked for PIN codes and not password/pattern screen locks. In your case I would recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion, this will reset your device and the screen lock will be reset.
Do note that all data is also being removed and since the device can't be unlocked, you are not able to create a backup with the same program.
I have also edited your signature as the links in it was not following the guide lines for our forum.
