Guys my phone: Xperia z3 d6653 marshmallow.
Since past some days my google account isnt syncing my contacts at all no matter what. Tried creating new contacts on phone and as well on my google account via pc but none of them reflect on either sides.
I finally removed /deleted my google a/c from android phone and re added but still everything gets synced except contacts.
My contacts are still dead blank!!
Via app, I tried clearing contacts data etc but no luck,
I also completely formatted my phone and wiped everything like internal data, cache, dalvik, and did factory reset and wiped internal memory too.
Still same issue.
Now the first time this factory reseted phone came online I signed into my google account and only for first time the contacts synched but after that its same old story. Same icon on contacts and no sync happening no matter manually or auto. The timestamp remains of the first time sync only it will never ever change.
