Since the update to Build number 14.3.A.0.681 (Android version 4.4.2), several of my apps (including ES File Explorer) cannot write to the external SD card nor can they create folders there or rename anything although that was no problem before the update. I also tried to clear all app data, to uninstall and reinstall the apps - nothing seems to help. Other apps (like File Commander) do not have this kind of issues and also using the internal storage is no problem - except the storage amount of course.
Is it an error or missing permissions on the apps' side?
If this is not solved soon, is there a way to restore the old firmware (Android 4.3 I think)?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

This is a native problem on all devices that run Android 4.4 Kitkat. It has been implemented by Google and is not a bug caused by Sony. All manufacturers phones running Kitkat have the same problem unfortunately.
Thanks for the quick answer!
So is it possible to downgrade to 4.3 then?
As far as I know it's only possible by manually flashing the old version of the software. Not sure exactly how you do this though.
Okay, thanks though!
