Xperia XZ won't charge

I plugged my XZ in to charge last night, and when i woke up this morning, it was at 4%. I tried resetting the phone, and it was at 2 percent. I tried the "virtual pull-battery" trick (holding the volume-up and power button) and now the phone won't turn on at all.

It seems to cycle between 3 states:

1) red light blinking, screen off

2) red light on, screen shows big "charging battery" logo

3) green light on, screen off

It cycles between these 3 states every 20 seconds or so.

I can't call sony support, this is my phone!

is there any way I can save the phone? thanks.

If that doesn't work, you will need to contact your Local support team to arrange a repair assessment.
