Xperia XZ charging with screen on

Since the latest update I have noticed when I leave the phone for charging the screen doesn't shut off after a while. I can see the Back and the Home "button". Is this something new or just a bug?

Do you have developer options enabled on your phone? Is the "Stay Awake" function active?

No developer option on and I can't find any "Stay Awake" anywhere.

Go to Settings > About Phone, and tap on the "Build number" several times until it says "You are now a developer".

Then, go back to Settings. There will be a new option called "Developer options". Check if "Stay Awake" is enabled.
