4k hdr phone. Is it overkill?

This is going to be an expensive phone, I'm guessing around $850

it wont be an overkill when it will be used for VR... which suspicously not given attention at all.

as for the price it will surely cost an arm and leg , maybe a kidney or two... 😕

I can't wait to get mine, I miss my Z5p every day and the 4k is amazing on photo viewing and video playback.
I'll be pairing mine up with my phantom 4 pro for reviewing the 4k/60fps video, and on my osmo mobile for the most stable 4k and most stable true slo-mo video you can get. This phone is an absolute beast and truly a grand successor to the Z5 premium

Hello,
does it finally has OIS? Is Sony able to upgrade the resolution of slow mode to 1080p?
How many frames it is possible to record in 1080p mode? I mean using this pre-prod software.

I hope they will include bigger battery before the release. It is kinda small.

Does this phone will finally has Radio which is missing in XZ?
Thank you.

@Nolram

I read that Google day dream wont work because LCD panels are too slow for vr or something like that. I'm not sure how true that is since I never used vr on a phone.

@viridis

What are the chances of it being sold by carriers like Tmobile and At&t?

sOc SD835 with Quick Charges 4.0 but why Sony use
Quick Charges 3.0 for this device...

Even Z5P with 4K has 3400mAh battery and
this XZP with 4K HDR only have 3230mAh....
and this device will drain battery fast.

Yeah I'm worried about battery life but maybe Sony figured something out.
