Stuck when calling

When i try making a call, before I choose a sim, black screen comes up and gets stuck. Unable to make calls after that... 

Only, when i receive a call, does the call functionality start working again.

lets see if it's a third party app

boot in >> safe mode and see if you experience the same issue.

Got it ! I wen to app permissions and denied the permission for "Phone" and enabled it back.
Calls are then going through fine. Chanced upon this solution. No idea what the rootcause is.
Hope Sony finds it and fixes it.
