I've read other threads and they say it was due to adaptive brightness. I had already off it and the red light is still there. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it isn't. What is going on? When my screen is off, the light goes away as well.
its a proximity AND light sensor, it appears when the device is in a dark environment to detect if you are looking at your screen or if you are holding your device near your head like during a call.,
