Pridictive Capture

Hi, I am Antony, 2 days before i bought new sony xz premium, really i like it, but i have one doubt, how can we use " predictive capture " option. Moreover i changed that into "Auto" but when i take some moving piture it doesnt take predictive pictures. It just showing one shaking picture. Can you guide me, Moreover the front camera looks little bad, i didnt use any other xz premium so i would not possible to compare with other phone.

But i have Sony Xperia X Rear 23Mp/Front 13Mp, so i feel front camera looks dull, can you clear my doupts. If you want i will provide my mobile full details, because some time i feel may be they put some 8 Mp camera insteed of 19 Mp and the same thing for front too..

If there any software update please suggest me, or is there any particular software is available for check the mobile camera MP, for which level of camera my mobile have. Please help me, I hope you understand.

I dont say anything about whole xz premium, because i didnt use anyother. But when i compare with some picture with old Xperia X, its bit different .

the predictive capture isn't really the same as predictive autofocus,. and so even the camera predicts the images it might not be on focus.

here are sometips that might make it work:

1.) tap on the moving object to allow predictive autofocus.

2.) make sure you are on a well lit environement

3.) hold the device steady.

4.) make sure the object is not moving to fast or too slow

I can't help you with predictive capture unfortunately, but regarding picture resolution: go to Album, open any of the photos that you have taken, click on three dots and choose "details". it should tell you what's the resolution of the photo.
I know that older Sony phones (Z3c, X) used to take 8 MPx pictures by default to improve photo's sharpness.

I just installed AnTuTu Benchmark on my phone (Xperia X) and it shows rear camera as 8.3 MPx too, even though it's actually 23 MPx. I wouldn't worry about that Slightly_smiling_Face

if you want to shoot pictures in as high resolution as possible, you can open camera, go to settings (cogwheel icon) and change resolution to whatever setting you want. if I'm not mistaken though, the default 8 MPx value is chosen on purpose in order to produce sharper photos with less noise.

Predicted capture only works in auto mode, and will capture shots prior to you pressing the shutter when photographing moving objects.

You will then see a tag in the album app of four squares on an image, opening that image will allow you to select the best between the shutter capture, and three additional predicted shots.
