Pinks and oranges are oversaturated as heck

What am i doing wrong? The screen is gorgeous, but pinks look completely oversaturated as well as oranges. Ive turned down the display mode to the last one- and then the problem goes away, but other colors are washed out. Did i get a bad model?

@rayvin400

have you change the display settings?

Settings > display > image enhancement

Yes, i've tried turning that off and also changing the color gamut and contrast to professional mode. Both methods make other colors seem dull. But the problem with the pinks and oranges is gone. I guess I have to sacrifice one thing for another?

Thanks for your response.

Hi @rayvin400,

can you provide a shot of the same photo (with orange) on iPhone and XZP but with Professional Mode display setting?

Thanks!

Yes I will asap. I will say that the colors on video are much better with this mode on- but then in the UI and the google... colors are very washed out. It's a hassle to keep switching modes.

SOrry for the delay, Here's the comparison. Same phones. You can tell the screen displays better reds in professional mode- but like i said, its a premium phone and It's annoying to have to change the modes when Im done with videos. First world problems. Reds on Professional MOdeReds on Professional MOdeREds on Standard MODEREds on Standard MODE

Very GREAT comparison, thanks!

This your post is more useful than any others to fully see the differences between the two modes!

Howevere, also in Professional Mode, the display (and colors conseguently) looks more cold than the iPhone one; is it true in real life or is only an effect due from the PC screen?

Personally I think is not annoying the fact to manually change the profile if you think in this way:

The Professional Mode is done for the photography and has the sense to give the more real life colors, while the Standard Mode is done for videos (especially those are recordered in DCI-P3 standard, standard for more reds and greens) and also games, UI ecc.

If your focus is on photography, I suggest you to use the Professional Mode, but if use normally the device for videos, social, music, games, Standard Mode is the best. Considering that you can easily switch to Professiona Mode quickly :smileysmileythumbsup:

Thanks again!

I hope to not disturb you in case I would have other comparison...

Cheers!
