Opening SIM-tray reboot the phone
Hi,
when i open my SIM-Tray on my Android 7.0 Nougat, my phone do a automatic reboot. WHY? There is no change in the SIM-card. Just openeing the tray, initiate the reboot??!?!?
Do you see this behavour on your phones too?

Yeah.. It's a special Sony feature.. They don't want to fix this... i guess this is happening since 4-5 years or more

@kloana: yes, its supposed to work that way, I don't the reason behind this but, I think its like the "safety" mechanism to avoid coruption of the sd card...

It's supposed to do this and has since the first Z, maybe longer.
It is to protect the SIM card from corruption as the pins to the SIM are not linear so a longer pad could end up with 2 contacts on it and could short the SIM reader.
The obvious protection is to just reset the whole system when it detects the SIM slot is open.
