This review https://www.stuff.tv/my/sony/xperia-xz-premium/review-0 seems to say it is usable with Daydream, but my knowledge of how Daydream works is limited so unsure if it is easily usable or not on any phone.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I can now confirm that Xperia XZ Premium is not compatible with Google Daydream.
A quote from xda developers forums
"The LCD screen of the XZ Premium unfortunately doesn't have the minimum requirements of the response time, so DayDream doesn't work, but there's another way to get VR support on the XZP, it is called Trinus VR, works with CardBoard and other lenses, Trinus let you play all the Steam VR and NON-VR games that you have on your PC on your phone (in this case the XZ Premium), this is the only way to get contents in VR for the XZ Premium."
Hm, are there any good cardboard apps you might know of for Netflix? I have used Trinus in the past, but I have no use of it now because I already own a Vive. Using the XZP's 4k resolution for ridding of the screen door effect for viewing media is my hope.
