You guys are familiar with those multi-touch test apps on the playstore, right? It basically brings up a black screen where you simply tap on it (each tap gets shown there, depending on how many fingers you use).
With every phone I've had, I could easily use ten fingers and they all got registered; however, my XZ Premium barely recognizes four fingers, let alone 5 and higher.
Before I exchange my phone, I wanna make sure if other models even have the same issue or not, for I really don't feel like setting up a new phone for nothing.
Please, only post here after having tested it out on your devices, guys; I don't mean to sound rude or whatnot, but, I really wish to know for sure.
Forgot to mention: I have tried it out with and without a screen protector, even though the other phones never had an issue either way.

Alright. Thanks for the replies. I shall return the phone, then.
I tried one and it was no problem recognizing and moving all 10 fingers (alas getting my 10 thick thumbs onto the screen was not easy)
Same thing here, when running a quick test the XZP had no problems recognising 10 fingers.
I used an app called Multi touch test.
I have to ask.... does the phone work properly? Are you having any issues whatsoever with screen touch or responsiveness?
Sometimes I think we have become obessed with testing to the Nth degree every little thing on cell phones. Does anyone do these tests with their laptops, tablets, or PC's?
Is the test reliable?
When do you ever need to use more than two fingers at a time on the phone?
When will you ever use all ten fingers at the same time?
I never do any of these "silly" tests unless there is an observable problem with something not working.
You mention you do not want to setup a new phone. So if yours is working as expected, less the unreliable test, why not just keep it? You have at least a year warranty. I'm sure if there is something seriously wrong with the digitizer that it will show up long before the warranty expires.
Has nothing to do with obsession. It's not like I purposely use such testing apps because I find soo much joy in doing so. No, the touch inputs haven't been registered even by normal usage, so I therefore tested a multi-touch test app.
If my four years old S4 can register ten fingers with ease, despite being damaged physically, then why not my expensive, new phone which has all the best specs? No, it's just a defective device; you are bound to encounter one eventually; it doesn't matter what brand your phone has. I hope my next one will work flawlessly.
