It's this the graphical screen lock pattern failing? Do you have pin lock or other things that might be of relevance, like using Bluetooth or position unlock features too?

How did you lock and what is "nothing": It didn't lock, didn't unlock again or didn't request pattern input when unlocking?
If you go into settings and tap "screen lock" under security, it should ask for current pattern. How does that work?
