hey guys, i had put my Xperia XZ to update software and it seemed to be stuck at "verifying system update", so i left it over night, when i woke up, the battery had ran out but the update wasn't done. It won't charged when plugged into the wall, it tries to charge when plugged into the computer but it keeps on trying to start up alone and continue the update, which causes it to lose battery and shut down again, it's like an endless loop now. Sony companion won't recognize that its plugged in, and resetting it with power and volume buttons doesn't work. Any help is much appreciated!
You should leave it turned off on a wall charger for 2-3 hours, the phone may take at least 30 minutes to show the charging battery indicator as the Li-ion battery was completely drained.
After that, re-perform a software repair using Xperia Companion, again with the phone turned off. Follow the steps given in blue links, and keep us updated.
I will try that, thank you, but, it does show that it is charging when plugged into the computer, just before it tries to reboot again, but when plugged into the wall it shows nothing so i dont think the issue is that it is completely drained
