battery level indication stuck at 20%

had this xperia xz for couple of months. Noticed that battery indicator not going up or down. At some point while still showing 20% just died. Couldn't restart, repair or update w/ companion. None of the tricks with power and volume up buttons helped. Per Sony customer service advice sent it for repair. Got it back 3 weeks later with technician paper saying some adhesive stickers replaced top and botom(?). Phone powered on (thats good), but showing same 20% charge level. Calling cust serv. within 2 hours, after trying to charge it to higher level and/or discharge it to lower level without success. Asking to swap the phone under warranty, they insist on me sending it back in for evaluation, this time they sent me ship. label. I shipped them device, called couple of time over the next few weeks. Nobody knows anything, refuse to swap insist on repair/evaluation. Today another 3 weeks later got a call from FedEx to expect shipment tomorrow. Just called CS if swapped or repaired (another 1.5 hour on the phone w/them). Phone beyond repair shipped back to me(?). Rep doesn't know anything and after a few more hold-ons finally says "customer abuse".I go "What???" and elevated call again. Supervisor says its hard to belieive, since I had a phone for 2 hours and will try to find out whats going on. To be continued...

that is sad to hear ,, however we cannot help with local issues such as this, since you are already in contact with your Local support,

did you ask for a repair report? or can you go personally to the service center in question>?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, phone just arrived (about an hour ago) after another 3 weeks of me being w/ no phone with "test and repair return form", that says: Unfortunately, the equipment has been returned unrepaired for the following reason:

"Physical Damage to the Device".

No specifics, as far as what physical damage they talking about.

I inspected phone with magnifying glass and found no damage, not a scratch, not a ding. It is just like the day I bought it, nice shiny and beautiful, exept it still showing same 20% charge level. I spoke to supervisor, who is also in awe, because I had no posession of a phone for almost 2 months. He contacted someone in headquarters(?) and promissed to call me back. So I am waiting
