Hello,
I just got my xperia XZ PREMIUM two days ago. Now I wanted to register it for the functions of my xperia, for example deleting my phone after losing it. Sure, I hope I'll never lose it anyway. I already used this features for my z3
After going through various options I can't find the right setting for activating my xperia like it is described on Sony's my xperia website.
Any ideas or thoughts on that?
Greetings from Germany
Solved! Go to Solution.
Most likely replaced with the Google device manager, which does exactly the same stuff.
I'm sorry to hear about your previous phone.
Settings > lock screen & security > Protection by my Xperia > enable it.
Well... that was exactly the way I thought I could solve the problem. But it seems that there is no setting vor my xperia in my phones software.
As my phone is running in German it might be, that the settings I post are not correctly translated. I dont't know how to swith the language to English so that I can tell you what I see - I have to translate it myself, but maybe this helps. Anyway, this is really annoying. Such a great phone, and such a bug in the software

But there is no point occuring, even in the submenus, in which I can find the right setting.
By the way: my z3 luckily didn't get lost! I started it und found the right setting within a minute. Maybe I'm blind on my XZ Premium - or there is anything strange going on.
But luckily there's still the option of mailing Sony in hope for fixing my problem. I would get a much better feeling if I knew, that I could locate my phone via internet, to find out, wether I just put it under something on my desk or really might have lost it - just in the case, that I might have lost it... you know, what I'm trying to say.
Hi @PsychoAsset, glad to hear that you've received your Xperia XZ Premium!
I will look in to this for you. As soon as I know more I'll let you know.
Didn't notice before, but the option is missing on mine as well.
I can confirm that the my Xperia service and Protection by my Xperia are discontinued starting from Xperia XZ Premium. As @Viridis mentioned you can use Android Device Manager to locate or wipe your device if needed.
Hi
I am interested in using 'Locate my phone' feature as I am using it on my previous Z3 phone. However I am unable to find any 'my xperia' feature in the setting - security . I am asking for your assistance to assist me in this matter. Your response is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, can someone please tell me where can I find the My Xperia app? Thr one that allows you to find/locate your device when it is stolen.
I hope Sony did not ditched another software feature... Really, I am fed up with it.
