A genuine recommendation for Sony future phones.

A genuine recommendation for Sony future phones.

As we can see there's no hope for Sonys dual front facing speakers on thier phone. I've stuck with Sony for a long time. There's just no hope for the speakers. I mean, unless you're in an absolute quiet environment, you can't hear anything.

So, I would recommend this.. If you can make loud enough speakers, get rid of the speakers completely, make a bigger screen, with thinner bezels, and use some of that extra internal real estate for something useful.

Just a thought

But, its a shame that (SONY), one of the biggest names in history for audio development and speaker quality can't make this little little thing work a little better.

honestly, I've had no problems with the speakers on my XZP, even in a relatively loud environment. have you tried contacting local support?

Had I had this issue with this phone alone, I would've rushed it to the nearest customer care center. However, I had issues with the Xperia speakers long before the XZ Premium. I've had the Z3, Z5, XZ & XZ Premium, all suffer from the same problem.

I looked through reviews and forms to see if this is a common issue, and it seems so.

I carry a 2 phones, the other is an iPhone 7 plus. The difference is, people ask me to lower the volume with the iPhone when it's on high volume, where I have to ask people around to lower thier voices for me to hear sound coming from my XZ Premium on high volume.

I have same problem with my xzp. I don't even use it for listening to music anymore. The sound volume is way below par & I couldn't be bothered sending it back to Amazon & be phoneless for days or weeks!!  I'm thinking of buying a mid range HTC instead.

Yup,, I was listening to a voice note on whatsapp and I couldn't in a noisy environment. I forwarded to a friend with a Samsung J7 and it was so loud I was honestly suprised. Maybe the waterproofing thing but for me sound volume is more important than waterproofing.

I don't think it's the waterproofing. Look at other phones that have similar waterproofing, they don't sound as low.

The Xperia XZ Premium is annoyingly low. You don't have to be in noisy place to feel that volume level is low. Just watching a video next to a few people chatting can be irritating.

Speakers sound great to me. Sony, please don't change your design! Xperia phones are unique and are the best looking and performing phones available. No need to change anything except to bring back features like screen recording, answering machine

for screen recording, check out this app, it's free and open source https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orpheusdroid.screenrecorder

It's not related with the waterproofing. Check the volume level of other phones that have waterproof feature. It's just sony is in love with quiet speakers on their phones, my last with best speaker phone was the Xperia S. After that all my Xperia phones had low volume. But actually volume level on my Xperia XZ Premium is quite good. I think it's improved and nice enough. But still not the best, there is a long way to go for them to make the best front facing stereo speakers.

Just good isn't enough these days. Some phones make a external Bluetooth speakers redundant. I'm fine with my phone not being that loud, I just want to be able to hear fairly clearly in a modest noisy environment.

Let me just put it this way, I don't want to stick the phone to my ear when I'm trying to hear what someone says in video.

Just to be clear, it doesn't matter what app I'm using to view the video.. They're all the same.
