Z5 compact GPS slow

Hi all,

my Z5 Compact, compared with Samsung S3, LG G4, Galaxy Note, iPhone, has a "slow refresh" of GPS.

I use it for running (with Runtastic) and my gps track It is always shorter than the other (4/5%). 

I noticed that in bends the track is cut as if the refresh signal is too slow...

I hope I explained myself.

Can i fix it? Or verify something?

I've not personally had issues with my Z5c, but this app resolved a multitude of issues I had with GPS and compass on my old Samsung Alpha.

PS: your Z5 compact it's accurate with app like runtastic? If you can, only if you want, try a session with some bends and check if gps is accurate?

What are your findings while using Google Fit? 

also, do you have LifeLog on your phone, to double/triple check GPS?

Hello, 

I have the same issue, I am using runtastic with my new Z5c and its GPS seems to disconnect during my runs. However my run may be very long and sometimes I get the untract region to be of almost a km long. 

That have never happened with any other cellphone I had. 

Any idea if that is the phone or the app?

Bad news...

This means that it's a model problem and not my single device...

Today i will try Runkeeper.

Runkeeper seems to be more accurate. It's not perfect like my old Samsung S3 with runtastic, but better then Z5 and Runtastic.

So, runkeeper it's more accurate but not yet acceptable for me.. (lost 300 mt in 8 km).

Now i reset to default my Z5 and reinstalled all application.  (by Italian Sony customer care suggestion...)

Wednesdey i will try again Runtastic.

I agree, 

I have tried the runkeeper as well, and it is more accurate but definitely far from optimal. 

Seems that sony android version 5.1.1 is just not compatible with apps that need the GPS.

This is kind of typical to sony products, very impressive, very expensive but work terrible and even worse support. 

I would try Strava tomorrow, but little hope,
