Xperia Z1 not turning on or showing any life

I put my Xperia Z1 on the charger(it was at 40% battery) and went to sleep. Woke up 6 hours later and tried to check the time but it wouldnt wake up. It shows no lights at all, its like it is completely dead. My computer can't recognise it and I have alot of important files on it. 

Does anyone please know how to turn it back on? 

I have tried pushing the red litttle button, and holding the vol down and power button, and it still wont work.

Please help me.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Sorry to hear about your phone. Try to connect the phone and charge for several hours after you have tried to press the red OFF button. If the phone still doesn't start you can try to remove the SIM and SD card and try to charge using another charger.

it happened the same to my Z1, and I cannot find a solution. I have tried several original chargers, many hours of charge, many times, and there is no way to turn the phone on.

My opinion is that the battery is dead, which is quite a common problem with batteries, and in our case, we are unlucky because we cannot just open the back lid and change the battery. It seems as if Sony never thought this could happen, because there is no mention of the battery in their white papers or the user's guide. No help either in the Sony Care website. So we only have the option of an authorized service repair, and pray.
