xperia v over heating

hi i have a soney xperia V that over heatted so much that the screen cracked on the top of the screen. not my service profider is telling me that it is water damage where by i know that it is bull has i have only had the phone for three months and its never been close to water and it water proof i have never dropped that phone or anything i would like to know what should i do and has this happend to anyone before.

mine overheats too but only if i use to play during charging

That is the reason why it overheats so much.
