Xperia M Dual C2005 Android 4.2.2 - Auto sync email issue

Hello everyone,

on my Sony Xperia I am unable to setup an automatic sync of POP3 email account. In the widget settings i have setup every 5 minutes and i have either wifi or mobile data always on and want to be notified about incoming emails. But this is apparently not working. I either have to go to settings->Accounts/Email and hit Sync email. Or manually open email widget and press sync button. 

Where to setup auto sync please? Few weeks ago I installed Android 4.3 (right after I bought this device) and there the auto sync was working, there was an item in settings where i ticked automatic sync. But i did not like 4.3 for other reasons (menu looks, colors) and downgraded back to 4.2.2. But now there is issue with auto sync email.

Hello,

i went through the settings again, in settings -> setup guide there is a switch for automatic sync. When this is on, then also option to turn on autosync appears also in Settings -> Accounts/Email. When turned on, autosync works acording to settings (5min, 10min etc.)
