Wont Turn ON

HI, My tablet wont turn on, ive tried holding the on and volume up button for 10 secs and still no joy. Its fully charged. Help is much appreciated. Thanks Chris

Pd. I have a works laptop so cant download PC Companion

When you hold power and volume up do you feel any vibrations - Also when trying to power on does anything appear on screen or do you feel a vibration

Hi, No vibration. When i charge it the sony appears on the screen then the battery status then blank. Nothing. Ive even done a full update via sony pc companion and still nothing. I have full battery too. Im lost now.

Sounds like you need to perform a repair but would need a Pc or laptop able to run PC Companion

Switch off your tablet and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)

Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Your only option now are to return it to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/ and see if you have a local service centre

I returned my tablet to the shop. RESULT: Battery lost connection to the mainboard...

The really bad thing about the repair was that they upgraded the os and the usability is now much worse then before and as it seems I have to downgrade android to get the original layout of the buttons etc. I wonder who made this brilliant decision to put a phone optimzed os an a tablet.

....It's not a trick....its a sony and just really stupid
