Why no Z5 Ultra?

I'm user of Xperia Z Ultra. It's a great phablet, I love it. But so far Sony hasnt release any other high-end phablet. I will be changing phone this December and Xperia Z5 Premium feels too small for me. Is Sony planing to release any bigger phone this/begin of next year? If no, then I will be forced to buy device from other company 😞

Have you checked the Xperia Z5 Premium? The screen might not be as big as the 6.4 from the Xperia Z Ultra but 5.5 it's quite decent, considering the screen to body ratio size Xperia Z Ultra ~68.3%, Xperia Z5 Premium ~70.4%

Price of Xperia Z5 Premium is too big for me. This phone is not for performance, it's for people who want Z5 but be more "premium". It's like golden Iphones or gold Apple Watch.

2 years ago I bought new Z Ultra for 2500PLN (~600 euro), price for basic Z5 is similar to old Z Ultra, and price for Z5 Premium is 3999PLN (~999 Euro). And for what? Little bigger screen than Z5, 4k that works only in few aps and I don't like glossy back.

Maybe if Sony will release something like Samsung's Gear VR for Z5 Premium, then this 4k screen will be cool thing to have.

Screen to body ratio is not important for me. Bigger frames gives more space for fingers when plaing games etc.

When new Z5 phones will be available in shops, then I will go and check Z5 and Z5 Premium. But from what I know now I need to search for something other.

C5 Ultra is low-end phone for me. It's specyfications are similar to 2,5 year old Z Ultra.

Same FullHd resolution, but smaller screen (6" to 6.4")

same 2gb ram

same 16gb memory

1.7ghz Mediatek cpu in C5 Ultra? Z ultra has 2.2ghz Qualcomm

I just found leaks, that there can be Z5 Ultra at begining of 2016. I hope this is true.

Just get a z3 tablet compact lte, it has a dialler and is barely bigger than the 6.4" ultra.
Looking at your requirements it's perfect.

And I've heard that same rumor since Z2, wouldn't give it an ounce of thought.
