hello to all,
I have a Xperia Arc (LT15i). All my contacts are stored on the phone's memory (not on the SIM card)
Unfortunately my phone no longer start up properly : the screen slightly lits when pressing the ON/OFF button, but no menu comes up, so no way to do anything ! I've read many similar posts on the forum advising to Update Software, but I fear that this will definitively destroy my contacts. So I tried first to backup them using PCC. Unfortunately, PCC needs the phone to be unlocked what is impossible without the screen
So my questions :
Will Update Service REALLY remove all my contacts ?
Is there a way to transfer (copy) my contacts from the phone's memory to the SIM card WITHOUT using the menus (which I can't access !). Any magic keystroke sequence ???
Thanks for your help
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
If you perform a software repair via SUS or PCC, the phone memory will be erased. So your contacts will be removed if they are saved as phone contacts.
And as far as I know, it's not possible to perform a backup of your contacts if you cannot unlock the phone/navigate through the menus.
