Touch screen not working on right side

I wonder if anyone can help, I've had this problem before but it fixed itself after an hour or so but I left my phone alone overnight and it still won't work, I just can't find a solution. The right side of my screen in unresponsive to touch so I can't put in my unlock pattern. When I'm given the option to unlock using a security question or google account details I can't even select "next" because the button is in the touch screen deadspot. 

I've tried several times to update using the PC companion but I basically can't do anything because I can't unlock the phone screen. I'm waiting on a phonecall about a job I applied for so I really need to be able to use my phone, I can't take calls beause the button won't slide across. I'd really appreciate any help!

Unfortunately this sounds like some kind of hardware related issue so I suggest that you contact your local support team to have this examined and fixed at a repair center.

Thanks. If I go to Emergency Call all of the touchscreen works, is there any reason why that would work but the unlock screen won't?

Issue solved, took out the battery, sim and memory card and left it for a while. Everything is working fine now.
