Dear support,
I have a bit music library in my phone sychronized with your tool from my iTunes library.
Within the music application, I am trying to use the information to obtain the songs information, but due to the wifi dropping issues reported in other post in this forum, I am loosing the connection.
The problem is that everytime I try, it is starting again from the beginning. Is there a way to skip the songs that have been already analized (at least for some time or do the "from the beginning" as an selectable option)
Thanks a lot in advance
Hi @Raacatin,
If you go to Music > Menu (3 lines in the top right) > Settings > Download music info, don't tick the "Replace all existing information" here if you don't want all the media to get new information. If that option is not ticked, it should skip the songs which already have artwork and track information in your music library.
The question was not that. The question is: why, independently of replace is activated or not, has always to start from the beginning if network fails (because the XZ model has problems keeping a stable connection)?
In a library of more than 2500 songs is really a pain.
I'm sorry if I misunderstood your question.
I'm afraid that I do not know as to why the feature has been designed this way, but my recommendation is that you tick that specific options so that you don't download information for a track which already has had it's information populated.
Regarding the stability, we continuously endeavor to improve the Wi-Fi connection performance and we will integrate improvements into our regular maintenance software releases. I can see that there is a separate thread for this specific topic, I kindly refer you there to discuss that specific behaviour: /t5/Xperia-XZ/My-xperia-xz-wifi-dropping-issue/m-p/
