Spotify on z5

Hi all, I have been having trouble playing Spotify on my z5 can anyone help? For some reason I always a "something went wrong " message each time I start it. Then when I try again it takes an age to load, followed by the first track stopping and starting for a few minutes. Also I have found that even tho you stop the app running, it continues to play and will only stop if you force stop it in the phones settings.

using latest versions of phones software and Spotify. Plus have uninstalled and re-installed many times with no change.

i can't reproduce that problem, are you using a taskiller, antivirus or battery app?

Have you restricted the app at all either background data and/or permissions?

Anti virus is the one that comes with the phone, will check rest of the things you mentioned later.  Could be something stupid like that, but don't think so.

From what I can see, and I am no expert, there are none of the style of apps you mentioned. Spotify simply just does not start without 10 minutes plus of starting and stopping and general button pressing. Had trouble since I got this phone in March, with many of the problems mentioned on this forum. Most of which I could sort of live with, but Spotify is main use app for me.

Settings > apps > music and spotify > clear data > restart the phone > check again

No change, quite simply does not start correctly on my phone. When you do actually get it to work, it wil stream music for hours no bother.

Most likely there's an app causing this problem. You could repair the phone with XC and report back.
