SMS Issue

Had my phone for a month and this problem is always happening. Once in a while when I receive a SMS message I can't select the message to read it. The phone just hangs. I end up shutting it off and back on again and that seems to make it work. At least until next time.

Any Ideas?

Is there another SMS app I can put on the phone to replace the default app? Maybe it's the phone and not the app????

I think it's the phone.
I can't sent media in my SMS, it's freezes the dialogue with that perticular contact when I try, and after a couple of hours it tells me it failed to send the message, and then the text SMS continues to work properly. I've had this problem since I got the phone, and went through all the troubleshooting steps you can think. I've been waiting for a callback from Sony for the past week now since I bought my phone from the sony store.

Good luck with that. I've been trying for over a month to get a working code for the free stuff that you are supposed to get with the phone. I've lost all respect for Sony. They use to have a great support system but now it's gone. Every one I spoke with said that someone would get back to me. I have never received any call from Sony. At least 3 different people told me that someone would call me back.

Is there anyone here from Sony support or have they also given up on this phone.

Hi, what exactly was the 'free stuff' you were meant to get with your phone......?

The free stuff, movies, games, and album. Right now my bigger problem is with the SMS app running very slow and freezing up.

After sending in my phone for repair, they appearently factory reset it at it works now.

Don't know why that didn't work the 2-3 times I did it.

Worse now...I have received my phone back damaged. I called into Sony to find out what they'll do as they are the ones that paid for the shipping...they told me they would call me back in 2 days.
More than 1 week later, I call back because no one called. I'm told again they would call me back in 2 days.
2 days later, and 2 weeks from the original call, nothing. So I call in again.
This time, the agent gets off his lazy {...} and speaks with the supervisor that was supposed to call me back. Appearently they spoke with the repair department, and the phone was received and shipped out in the same condition. They say I have to call purolator to open a claim and get refunded from them.
I ask specifically what condition that is, because there are cracks and punctures, and if I'm opening a claim I need to know if it was in the shipment to Xperia support, or from Xperia support.
They say it had some scratches, but that's it.

So, I'll be calling Purolator...but what happends then if they only cover $100 (which is the default when you don't pay extra for coverate) when this phone cost me $500. And there is a time limit to open a claim...Why didn't you call me back to let me know? Why did I have to push by calling back to get this answer?

You need a Customer Support Reform. From what I've read on this thread, it's really poor.

What else is interesting, I gave a 1 Star review on the phone purchase on the Sony site...my review was never posted. Nothing abusive in the post...just streight forward and honest review. This is a dishonest practice and you should be ashamed of yourself.
