Need help!!
I bought my Xperia V in May, and everything was working well. Then about a month ago I started finding a bug.
I cannot hear anything when I try make a call (via phone or Skype) through the speaker. If I plug in headphones/ headset then I can hear everything fine. If I switch to loudspeaker during the call, I still cannot hear anything. My loudspeaker works fine when playing mp3s or using alarms/ timers etc. I am thinking this is a software bug. It was working till a month ago. I do not recieve many calls and usually use the headset when I skype, so I thought it just didnt detect when i removed the headphone.
If I use smart connect, it registers when i remove the headset but still has no sound. I tried restoring via PC companion but still nothing. Any suggestions?
I have build # 9.1.A.1.140
I have the same problem with you that my phone's earpiece does not work durin calls but when i plug in the headset or if i turn on the speaker i can hear perfectly. what s about that? some body has the same problem and solved it already? Please Help it s driving me crazy!!!
Now I have same problem!!! I cannot hear a thing, only if I turn on a loudspeaker I can hear somebody. What's wrong?
Hi,
I do have the same problem. Just bought the phone. Updated right after bying to Androit 4.1.2 and Build nr 9.1.A.1.140.
Calls with headset or loudspeaker works. But if I switch it too normal calling I´couldn´t hear a thing. I turned the phone on and off: no change. I even did a reset: no change.
I really didn´t wanted 2 buy an iphone because I thought that the androit phones got better over the years. Somehow I really disappointed right after 3 days having the new phone.
Is there any help for this problem, did we flipped the wrong switch somewere in an hidden submenu or is the phone broken?
Thx for the help
i'm also experiencing the same problem after having the phone since April 2013. is this a sudden outbreak? i didn't do anything weird with the phone. just normal usage. now i have to make phone calls using loudspeaker.
Do you guys use Smart Connect to define headset event handling ?
If yes, clean that apps data (settings - app manager) .
Maybe this was the cause...
Mojojojojo found a solution that worked for me. I cleaned the headphone jacket with compressed Air from an Air Duster can.
