No/bad sound when using headset

Since Softwareupdate to Android 5.1.1 - 23.4.A.1.236 - sound doesn't work by using headsets MH750 and music palyer (original and winamp). Headset MH750 is configured by sony smart app. Sound on headsets works only temporary. Disturbing and scratching noise. Sound on mobile speakrers works well. Headset works on other hardware. Different headset effects also the same incidents on the z3 compact. I reset und reinstall the phone by using sony pc companion for two times. But this didn't solve the problems. I think it's a problem of the software. The original sony music player kills also winamp. Everything else work o this phone. Did you have the same problem? Do you have an solution for me? THX guys.

Hi @saimin,

If the headsets work well with another phone it seems more likely that this is due to something hardware related with your Z3 Compact. Do you by any chance have another kind of headset you could try with your phone, just to make sure?

Otherwise I suggest that you get your phone examined at one of our authorised service centers, since you have already tried a software repair. Contact your Local support for more information on how to proceed.

THX for the Answer. No, I don't think it's abou hardware. This incident runs since updating to Android 5.1.1. Before it works well.

I've had my headphone port broken once. 
It was fixed by sony. Too bad it's been way too many weeks without my phone though.
I've had my Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro (loved the **bleep** out of that phone.) replaced by an HTC desire X 4 years ago because they were out of stock and the hinge made the screen go black and that couldn't be fixed.
Had a faulty headphone port on my Xperia Z, twice, and once had the touchscreen fail on me. (all repaired under warranty though.)
And now I had to fall back on that 4 year old HTC phone because my Z3C's headphone port went bad as well.


I'm affraid it's just a coincidence that it occurred after updating.

The Z3C will be my last Sony. The longevity that I get out of my HTC proves that Sony should have never consumed Ericsson.

Get yours fixed.

After a backup of my sony xperia z3 compact sound and phone by using headset and sony music app worked well. After data recovery by sony companion not. Same problem again. So this is not a hardware problem. Software status 23.5.A.0.570. Problem effects since Lollipop 5.1.1.
