I bought my Xperia Z3 compact in December/2014, based on the fact that my husband has a Sony Xperia too, and the specifications of Z3 compact were great. But last september it started to present problems, it just turned off by itself, and didn´t turn on again. I got in touch by Chat with Sony and received some instructions, (based on the fact that my IMEI was up dated):
1- press on-off buttom plus Volume up - nothing happened
2- restore the factory configuration using Xperia Companion software
After a while I succeed in having it working (using procedure 1 suggested by Sony repeatdly), recharged it, and did the restore using the XPeria Companion. After that the cell seemed to be ok, but it worked 3 - 4 days than it stopped again. After almost one day off it turned on again - alone - so I decided take out the SD card, and the Sim card, just using it with Wi-Fi. Just installed some few app, to check if it would work properly again. I had some weeks with 6 days working and 1 day off, but one day it stopped and never came back again.
There was no problem in charging, the batery was always over 20%.
I´d like to know if there is anything that can be done. I read several reviews about technical assistance here in Brazil, and the customers just had more headaches. and no solutions, and I don´t want to face this sort of problem. That´s the reason I´m sending this message, if Sony tells me there is no way to repair my cell, I´m not going to send it to any technical assistance. I don´t to waste more money!
I´m looking forward to hearing from Sony.
