Coming from other Android based phones and recently upgraded to the Xperia Z1 Compact, I found the following enhancements missing from the Sony range:
Sound Settings: Be able to set the Volume for the Ringtone, Alarms, Bluetooth, Application Notifications, Tap and System Notifications as separate settings.
App Notifications on Icons: Apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegraph and Textra usually shows the number of notifications circled in red on the home/app screens.
Contacts: Favorites and Contacts views was usually available in list or grid views (user could chose)
Contacts: Swipe actions (right to phone, left to message)?
SMS: Character count is missing in the default messageing application
Themes and colors: Option to change the system colors and backgrounds as a custom input? There is no theme available with a black/dark background, and the white backgrounds is quite overwhelming.
Home Screen: ability to circulate the home screens - i.e. from the last page to swipe again and be at the First or Last page of the list (depending on swipe direction).
Default Calendar widget: have different view options i.e. month view, week view and day view.
Walkman: Have the ability to select a folder to play
Hope they will consider these topics for the next update....
