I am getting sick of this problem I have had since the JB 4.1.2 update for my Xperia S!
Whatever app I back out of, the home screen is constantly reloading! I press back to come out of games (where I could probably excuse this happening) and the launcher reloads, I come out of WhatsApp and the launcher reloads, I come out of Text Messaging and the launcher reloads....I am sure you can see where this is going. Each time it reloads, there are no icons (just blank squares) for a good 10 seconds or so, and my apps-drawer screen is all jumbled up (I have the apps set alpahbetically) and doesn't settle down for ages either.
I don't understand this. I have read the Sony memory FAQ and one of the points raised is about the launcher reloading, and it says ideally I should have 100MB RAM free to avoid this happening. Well when I look in Settings > Apps > Running, I have around 150MB free most of the time, so why is this happening? It is pathetic that a phone this powerful cannot even keep the launcher in memory so has to reload it each time!!
Any advice? The phone has basically slowed to a crawl. The next update had better sort this out.
due to power consumption to save your battery life, SONY is having this superb feature on all of theri JB Updates
its not a bug.
Please try this: Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Xperia Home > Clear Data > Reboot Phone.
