How to delete, edit a contact?

Dear Gents,

I am looking desperately how to override simple problem. I need delete a contact from directory. I was advised to go to contact app and then tap a contact and there sould appear delete icon aka bin. But nothing like that happen!

Any advice welcomed!

Hi @andykrna,

Uliwooly's suggestion is how you can edit a contact. If you want to delete it, go to Contacts > Tap the contact you wish to delete > Press the 3 dots on the top right > Select 'Delete contact'.

If your contact is saved under another account, for example Skype, then you cannot delete it from the contacts menu, only from the app the contact is set from. You can see what kind of contact it is saved as using Uliwooly's process above.

If you do not want to delete a contact, but want to hide it. Go to Contacts > 3 dots > Filters. You can filter out specific accounts or groups in here.
