Headphones not recognised

Why does my Xperia not recognise the headphones it came with?

if the device is bought new, you can have it replaced at the store you brought if from, have it tested infront of the salesperson,.

I have a similar problem.
Phone jack has been working without problems for almost three months, and then suddenly it is not reconized by the phone (I have tried with a few different ones). However I suspect the issue is caused by the Smart Connect-app, since I disabled automactic launch of Spotify when headphone is connected the day before the issue occured.

I don't know what happen it was working a ealier in the week. Any one has a idea on how to fix the issue.
