Factory data reset

Since Sony released their latest software. My Xperia 5 compact behaved strange like hanging all the time.. I was looking for some sort of help on Sony mobile and there I found an info that said if phone will keep behaving strange longer than two days after latest software update please do the factory data reset... I was so desperate.. I did right away.. With it all the videos, photos, contacts and sms were gone... Don't know now what to do.. Please anybody help

If the pictures, music, videos etc were stored in the internal storage, they are gone after a factory reset and can't be restore

Welcome to the community,

I am sorry to hear about the deleted content.

In the future if you do have any problems with the handset you are able to perform a backup using Xperia Companion, simply download the software and use the Backup function on the first screen.

While we cannot get the old data back, we can try resolve this type of issue in the future with the backup strategy.
