Custom tones for Messenger

So, on my Z2 I was able to move a tone into the folder and access it on messenger so I could use that as the tone, however on my Z5 Premium i'm unable to do that. Any possible way to fix this?

Just to make sure, you are referring to the app Facebook Messenger?

I've had a look inside that app in an updated Xperia Z5 Premium and as far as I can tell you can only select the default notification tones preinstalled in the app. To my knowledge there is no setting in the phone that can change this, considering that this is a third party application my recommendation is that you contact the developer in order to leave your feedback regarding this. Either by sending them an e-mail or by leaving a comment in the app page in Google Play.

Hey Didrik,

Thank you! I am indeed referring to the Facebook Messenger App. On my Z2 I was able to use File Commander and transfer the sound file over to "Ringtones" and it popped up with the default tones that were available. However, on the Z5, even with the same process, it doesn't seem to work. I'll still get into contact with Facebook and see what I could do.

No worries. My guess is that this is how later versions of the app is intended to work, I've had a look in an X Performance and an Xperia L and I can only select the default tones there as well.
