Maybe you have some problems with your apps from the phone.
1. You can try to reinstall Whatsupp again and see if the problem persists.
2. Also you can try to use another video player app , I don't know what you use now
3. If nothing works , you can factory restet your phone and try to install whatsupp first and test .
For me it worked great.
