Compact sd card issue

i got the phone when it was released last year, I bought a memory card for it which completely screwed the phone up overheating crashing couldn't use the phone, when I took it out it works fine.

So so I have researched which cards other users are using for their z5 compact and bought a Sandisk card, it recognises it it lets me transfer stuff onto it but it crashes all the apps still overheating and freezing every two seconds making it unbareable to use.

Why is it doing this?

are you using a compatible sd card?

Z5C supports up to 200gb sd cards

a class 10 or UHS card are better options

make sure the sd card is formmated accordingly before use.

most android devices support fat32 file system,.

try to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion

How do I format it and check it's fat32.

If this doesn't work in going to have to presume it's the phone. Using SanDisk 64ggb the phone worked a little more with thst one but barely.

The other was intergal 8gb
