cannot mirror to apple tv 2

Help me out here guys. I know there are posts out there but none have helped. I have downloaded doubletwist and airsync and allcast but none of them will allow me to mirror to the bigger screen...what am i doing wrong? It should be easy..but it isn't.

Has anyone got a step by step idiots guide?

Firstly, i cannot figure out how to mirror from Z2 to Apple TV so I downloaded Airsync and Doubletwist as i read that these would enable me to complete the task...unfortunately I could not get them to work either...apple tv is set up correctly and airsync is too but it just won't play. I am using apple tv 2nd gen...any help would be gratefully received
