Automatic call answering using Wired headset in Xperia SL

These smartphones aren't really so smart after all.
a) No screensaver after screen lock - apparently it would use up all my battery.
b) Delivery reports - apparently it may be my service provider's prerogative - so have to check with them.
c) Plug in your wired headset as given by Sony in the box when you purchase - where's the automatic call answering facility? The only thing that comes on are the Enable App feature? Really? So does one have to go back to the PlayStore and download an app for this? I did...the Lazy Cars or some such.

I paid top dollar for my Xperia SL. The above are simple things that Sony could have incorporated

I think they are as per the Service Provider info. I will double check. And if I can't update the SMSC details then I guess I'm going to have to accept no delivery reports right? :smileysad:.

you should be able to change them, I had that issue with my Xperia S this weekend, I don't use it as often as my Xperia T but you just have to try again and it will work

I will check again and get back to you for sure. I'm sure it will help. So I should call my Service Provider, check with him on the APN settings, check on the SMSC details, try and fill that in and voila, I should have Delivery Reports. Great!

In samsung the auto call answer mode is available by default. I believe u r using a smartfone for the first time.

E71 was a smartfone.
Secondly for delivery report its just a setting u need to change in messaging option.
