Please help me get rid of this icon in the status bar of my mobile
Sony Xperia XA
Hi @Soundarya, let me see if I can help out here,
The icon in question is the icon for HAC (hearing aid compatibility). Digital wireless telephones sometimes cause interference because of electromagnetic energy emitted by the telephone's antenna, backlight or other components. Therefore, the FCC has adopted specific hearing aid compatibility rules for digital wireless telephones for the reduction of radio frequency (RF) interference and magnetic coupling (T-coil) to hearing aids.
In order to turn off the hearing aid compatibility and get rid of the icon, find and tap Settings > Call > Accessibility > Disable the switch next to the text "Hearing aids".
I hope that answered your question!
Thank you for the reply. But there is no option of "hearing aid" to deselect it in my mobile.
Mine is Xperia XA dual its not ultra
Thank you for the quick reply, @Soundarya.
In that case can you find any option in Settings > Call > Accessibility called "TTY"? In that case tap that option and turn it off.
