Three issues with WH-1000XM4

Hi All,

My isues are as follows, would be utterly grateful if you help me:

1. When I pair my headset with two devices, an Android phone and a PC and log into the Google Meet on PC my partners on the Google call are complaining about low quality of my sound and cracking sounds produced randomly by the device. Once I unpair from the phone, the quality is back to normal. How can I fix this?

2. When I disable noise cancelling using either the button or Android app, it is usually switched on again automatically a few moments later. How can I prevent that? When I'm at home and I don't need noise cancelling but the device seems to know better.

3. Thirst is a question. The cable with mini-jack plug attached to the headset does not transmit microphone sound. If I use the third party mic and earphone cable - will the microphone work?

All the best

Lesheque

Hi there,

Regarding the microphone quality of the headphones while connected to Multipoint, make sure to connect them in a proper way. Check this link to learn how to perform multipoint connections: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00249936

For the noise-cancelling issue, make sure that the Sony Sound Connect app is up-to-date as well as the headphone firmware; if they are up-to-date, then consider performing these 2 steps below for the NC and multipoint connection issue as will:

1-Resetting the headset: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP0002752743.html

2-Initializing the headset to restore factory settings: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP0002752746.html

For the 3rd question, Normally Sony does not guarantee the functionality of any 3rd party accessory's or device's, which means it is very tricky to say if it would work or no. Also, this doesn't seem like a phone based on the notes here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP0002752734.html
