Update WH-1000XM3 firmware update

Hi,

I bought the Sony WH-1000XM3 in April 2019, but didn't update the firmware because of the issues with NC and related issues which people reported. Have the issues been fixed with later firmware updates? Is it worth upgrading or should I  leave it on the original firmware? Call quality was an issue, and I haven't used it on calls because of this,so if a recent firmware has improved things, it would be tempting to upgrade. Not if NC has got worse or other issues will creep in though.

I don't own it myself, but I haven't seen any issues regarding NC after the latest update, but I'd still suggest you wait until someone who has the last update can give you their opinion.

Thanks. I remember lots of issues reported with an earlier version (version 4 perhaps?), and it scared me off upgrading. I would like to upgrade, specially if call quality has improved,  but only if NC has not been affected negatively.

Yes, I remember seeing those reports too, but they were few and far between but I'd have honestly reacted the same way (hence my recommendation to still wait 😂).

That said, I haven't actually seen any reports like that since then, but I'm not sure what this would be worth to you compared to someone who has actually tried the newest update.

Hopefully, someone will share some info with us soon, I'm curious myself!
