Just bought a NW-WM1A from Japan because couldn't get one in the UK, plugged it in to charge and the screen menu is in Japanese, does anyone know how to change it to english please?
Thanks
Hello @ClaireChampion,
I am not sure about that, yet it could be the japanese model only features japanese as language.
If I were you I would try to use a smartphone with Google translate (the live mode which uses the camera) or Google Lens to translate the menu items to see whether the language change option is present.

You should have bought an "tourist" version from Japan.
Sadly you can't do it out of the box. The only way to do it ...welll google it and you will find ur answer.
Since it's an official forum here we can't help you more ^^
Hey ClaireChampion , found it!! The steps to change the language are here on the help guide: https://helpguide.sony.net/dmp/nwwm1/v1/en/contents/TP0001449074.html?search=language with some Google magic you can do it.
I seems it was, we've returned it and had a new one from an american audio store.
Thanks for your suggestion, we tried google translate and couldn't find it, we've returned it and had one from an american audio shop instead.
Glad to hear the issue was resolved!
It'd be really helpful if you mark the thread as solved so others can find the answer easily.
