How does the Sony Personal Audio System ZS-PS50 sort mp3 files?

I am desperately trying to figure out how to name my mp3 files on USB storage devices so that the PS-50 picks up the file in the correct order. But I was not able to find it out until now. (Random playback is off!)

Is there any documentation, are there any hints how the system is doing this?

For example, I have this file structure:

.
├── A
│ ├── 01_Die_Augen_der_Gottheit.mp3
│ └── 10_Die_Augen_der_Gottheit.mp3
└── B
    ├── 01_Die_Augen.mp3
    ├── 10_Die_Augen.mp3
    └── Recording 2.mp3

And that's the playback order:

B / Recording 2.mp3
B / 10_Die_Augen.mp3
B / 01_Die_Augen.mp3
A / 01_Die_Augen_der_Gottheit.mp3
A / 10_Die_Augen_der_Gottheit.mp3

I don't really get it. To avoid any memory effect, I reformatted the usb storage before (FAT) and renamed the partition. Why is B before A? And why is it sorted correct in A, but not in B?

To be sure, I removed all metadata from all mp3 files.

Any hint welcome, thank you!

Did you try to rename all of them in a specific order? Maybe that could work.
