I installed a DSX-A510BD in my car today and everything worked great. I then thought it would be worthwhile updating the firmware to the latest version which I did.
However, following the update I now have no sound coming out of my speakers when I select a DAB source. It has detected the stations and also updated the clock from DAB but I cannot get any sound out.
I have tried turning the unit off and on, performing a factory reset and also reapplying the firmware but nothing makes any difference.
Has anyone come across this before or have any suggestions on how to fix ?
Many Thanks
@mrdom321 He said he sent it for a repair as a final option, have you tried to update the software first? https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/mobile-cd-players-digital-media-players-dsx-series/dsx-a5...
It was the software update that broke mine in the first place 🤣
As Bobster said it was the update that broke it !!
@mrdom321 Oh! So, have you got any updates about upcoming firmware to fix that issue? Cause sometimes you will need to report that issue for Sony's tech team to take it into consideration.
Nope, only advice from Sony was to run through a number of the standard reset stuff as outlined in the manual. When these didn’t work they advised that it needed to be sent for repair, they fixed something and then returned it
