Can I set up 2 headphones, either x WH-1000XM3 or one XM4 and one XM4, using the same phone?

I'm finding changing what my XM3 is connected to really fiddly, and I wondered if I could use the same app on my iphone to set up a second set of headphones and leave them linked permanently to something different?

I'm not sure I'm making this very clear, but I'm hoping some one understands me, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an answer

The settings you can change using the app are saved to the headphones themselves, so the answer is yes.

You can set it up, adjust the settings as you like, then never access the settings with the app again.
