WWAN 3G Connection Issues (T-Mobile) UK

Hi,

Apologies if this has been discussed (the forum search is down).

I recently bought a Z-Series (VGN-Z21VN/X) laptop and wanted to use the built in 3G modem. I spoke to T-Mobile to initialise the supplied SIM card. When I use this I get a connection, get Internet access. However, the Internet access only lasts about 10 minutes before I lose it. The connection stays up the entire time but my access to the Internet drops (as also displayed in the connection icon in task bar, which shows local access only). I have to re-establish the connection to get back on. I spoke to t-mobile and they assured me it was not a specific base-station or network issue. Supporting this is the fact that the issue presents itself at any location.

I thought it may be my Norton anti-virus (Norton Internet Security 2009) and shut down the firewall to see if the Internet connectivity would stay up. Unfortunately, it did not.

I am exsaperated with this so if anyone has an idea as to what the issue is your help would be gratefully received.
